The worklist

The worklist is where a homeowner’s Virtual Estimate lands once it’s ready for someone to turn it into a real, priced estimate.

What lands here

Once a homeowner finishes sending you photos, video, or a trunk measurement through Virtual Estimate on your online estimator, their lead shows up here — with their name, address, how many trees they marked, and how many photos or videos they sent. A lead stays off this list until it has an estimate of its own; once one exists, it drops off. If nothing’s waiting, you’ll see a plain message saying so rather than an empty table.

Home also shows a short “Needs estimate” strip pulled from the same list, for a quick glance without opening the full worklist.

Starting an estimate from a lead

Tap a row and it seeds a new estimate for you: the customer’s details, and whatever trees, photos, and measurements the homeowner already sent, land in the editor ready to price. You’re not retyping an address or recounting trees they already gave you — you’re confirming and pricing what’s there.

The link only runs one way

Seeding an estimate from a lead is a one-time copy, not a live connection. Anything you change afterward — a tree’s DBH, its service, the price you land on — stays in the field app. It never writes back to the homeowner’s online quote, and it never will, no matter how much you edit the estimate afterward.

Walk-ins start from Home instead

A job with no online lead behind it — someone who called cold, or a property you’re bidding without a prior online quote — doesn’t belong on this list. Start it as a new estimate from Home instead; the worklist is only for leads that already came through your online estimator.

What to watch out for

Starting an estimate from a lead needs a connection, since it fetches that lead’s details from the server — rows here are disabled while you’re offline. A walk-in estimate from Home has no such requirement; see Working offline for what does and doesn’t need signal.
