Working with multiple companies
One login can hold more than one company — use this when you run a second business, or when you’re managing accounts for other people’s businesses.
When you’d have more than one
Section titled “When you’d have more than one”The most common case is running two separate tree-care businesses under one login — maybe different brands in different territories. The other is being an agency partner: a marketing partner adds their own login to each client’s account with agency access, so one sign-in reaches every client they manage. Either way, adding a company works the same: + Add another company on the dashboard walks you through a short setup, and you’re its owner from that point on.
The account switcher
Section titled “The account switcher”When your login belongs to more than one company, a dropdown next to the ArborMatrix logo lists every one of them. Pick a different company and the whole dashboard — leads, the credit balance, everything — switches to that company’s data. Any lead you had open closes as part of the switch.
The field app has its own account switcher for the same reason, so a rep, owner, or agency member who belongs to more than one company can move between them there too.
Each company is separate
Section titled “Each company is separate”Branding, pricing, leads, and credit balance all belong to one company and stay there — nothing carries over when you switch. Each company also gets its own estimator address, so homeowners never see a mix of two businesses’ branding on one link. Credits are covered in more depth elsewhere; for now, know that each company keeps its own balance.
An agency across several clients
Section titled “An agency across several clients”An agency member’s role reaches into every client account they’re a member of, the same way it would for a single one — Team, Settings, Billing, and the manual credit adjustment all open per company, switched with the same dropdown as anyone else. There’s nothing that shows all your clients’ data at once; you’re always looking at exactly one company at a time.
What to watch out for
Section titled “What to watch out for”The dashboard doesn’t remember which company you had open last — it opens back on the first one in your list, so check the switcher before you start work if you manage more than one. If you’re naming a second company, pick something distinct: company names can’t be reused across the whole platform, even by a different login entirely.
