Inviting your team: owners, reps, agencies
Add the people who help run your company, and choose how much of the dashboard and the field app each one can reach.
The three roles
Section titled “The three roles”Every person on an account has one of three roles.
Owner sees and changes everything — branding, pricing, your service area, billing, and the team list itself. Whoever creates a company starts out as its owner.
Rep is built for the field: a rep signs in to the field app to price and quote jobs, and that’s the whole reach. Team, Settings, and Billing don’t open for a rep at all.
Agency reaches exactly as far as owner does — Team, Settings, and Billing all open for an agency member the same as they do for an owner — plus one thing owner can’t do: add or remove credits on the account directly, without buying a pack. It’s built for a marketing partner running the account on your behalf, not for a crew member, and it isn’t a role you hand out lightly: an agency member has the same reach into your settings and billing that you do.
Sending an invite
Section titled “Sending an invite”Open Team and enter an email address with a role of Rep or Owner, then send the invite. Team is open to both an owner and an agency partner on the account — it isn’t limited to whoever holds the owner role specifically.
If that email address already has an ArborMatrix login somewhere else, they’re added to your account right away. Otherwise they get an email invite good for about a day. Until it’s accepted, it sits in a pending list below the team table, where you can resend it or cancel it.
What the invitee does
Section titled “What the invitee does”A rep’s invite lands in the field app: they open the link, set a password, and they’re in — no separate signup screen exists for them. An owner’s invite lands in the dashboard the same way. Either kind, once a password is set, signs in afterward with email and password, or with Google.
Removing someone
Section titled “Removing someone”Each row in the team table has a Remove link. Take it, and that person loses access to this company right away. Any other company they belong to under the same login is untouched — removing them here doesn’t reach into their other logins.
What to watch out for
Section titled “What to watch out for”Every company needs at least one owner or agency member at all times. Try to demote or remove the last one and nothing happens — no error message appears, the change quietly doesn’t take. If you hit that, add a second owner (or agency member) first, then step the original one down or off.
