What the field app is & signing in
The field app is what you or a crew member opens standing at a tree, or what office staff open while a customer is still on the phone.
Who it’s for
Section titled “Who it’s for”Anyone who needs a real price, not a ballpark: an arborist measuring a trunk in a driveway, or someone in the office pricing a call before they hang up. It’s a separate app from your online estimator — homeowners never see it.
It’s a phone app you install from your browser
Section titled “It’s a phone app you install from your browser”There’s nothing to find in an app store. Open the field app’s address on your phone, then use your browser’s “Add to Home Screen” (or “Install app”) option. It then opens and behaves like any other app on your phone, icon and all, and keeps working when you lose signal — see Working offline.
You can’t sign yourself up
Section titled “You can’t sign yourself up”There’s no signup screen. An owner adds you as a rep from the dashboard, and that sends you an invite by email. Open it, set a password, and you’re in — from then on you sign in like anyone else on the team.
Accepting your invite
Section titled “Accepting your invite”The invite link takes you straight to a set-password screen with your email already filled in. Choose a password, confirm it, and you’re dropped into the app signed in. If the link has expired, ask whoever owns the account to send you a new one — there’s no way to self-serve past an expired invite.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”After that first setup, sign in with your email and password, or with Google if that’s easier for your team. Either gets you to the same place.
How it’s different from your online estimator
Section titled “How it’s different from your online estimator”Your online estimator gives a homeowner three tiered price ranges before you’ve ever seen the property. The field app does the opposite: you enter a real measurement on a real tree and it gives you one firm number, plus a band around it — not tiers, not a range for the homeowner to pick from. It’s built for someone standing in front of the work, pricing off your own rates.
What to watch out for
Section titled “What to watch out for”If your invite email never shows up, check with the account owner that it was sent to the right address before assuming something’s broken — there’s no self-signup fallback to fall back on.
