Sharing your estimator: links, buttons & QR codes
Your online estimator isn’t embedded inside your website — it lives at its own address, and this article covers the ways to send homeowners to it.
Your web address
Section titled “Your web address”Your estimator’s address is yourcompany.onlinequote.ai, built from the company name you chose when you signed up. You got this link the moment your account went live, along with a QR code for it.
Linking from your own site
Section titled “Linking from your own site”The simplest option is a plain link or button on your own website pointing at your estimator address, opening in a new tab. There’s a ready-to-paste snippet for exactly this on your account’s setup screen — a plain link you can drop into your site’s navigation, a page, or an email, no embedding required.
QR codes for print
Section titled “QR codes for print”Settings → QR Codes builds codes meant for anything printed — direct mail, truck decals, door hangers, yard signs. Give it a campaign name plus optional source, medium, content, and term tags, and it builds a destination address carrying those tags, so quotes that come in from that piece are identifiable in your reporting later. The destination itself always points at your estimator and can’t be edited — only the tracking tags around it — so a typo can’t end up printed and unfixable.
Download the SVG for anything going to a printer, since it stays sharp at any size; the PNG is fine for email or on-screen use. Before it prints large, generate the code, scan the on-screen preview with your own phone, and check the encoded address matches what you expect.
What to write on the button
Section titled “What to write on the button”Keep it plain about what happens next — something like “Get an instant tree quote” tells a homeowner exactly what they’re clicking into. Avoid vague labels like “Learn more,” which don’t set the expectation that they’re about to get a price range.
What to watch out for
Section titled “What to watch out for”A long campaign name or set of tags makes for a denser QR code, which needs to print larger to stay reliably scannable — the tool warns you when your encoded address is getting long. Always test-scan the final printed piece before a full run goes out; a code that scans fine on screen doesn’t guarantee it will after ink spread and folding.
